ESCO ProFill Dragline Bucket
For more than 70 years, ESCO Corporation has been the leading choice of dragline mining operations around the world. In striving to optimize productivity, ESCO is introducing the ProFill dragline bucket. The ProFill bucket is specifically designed to improve dragline productivity, by filling faster with minimal drag energy. The ProFill is equipped with ESCO’s reverse spade lip (RSL), which is recognized by mines worldwide as a major innovation in dragline productivity and provides faster fill than conventional straight lips. The ProFill is also equipped with ESCO’s Posilok® Plus mining tooth system, with the enhanced safety of a hammerless locking device.

The RPM II bucket has had tremendous success, consistently aiding mines in improving productivity. Its core features remain unaltered.
- Increased penetration patented geometry capitalizes on the RSL to utilize the weight of the bucket for increased penetration
- Cast front ring the RPM II cast front ring components offer better strength and durability than other models
- Dumping characteristics lower mounted, integral trunnions provide more vertical bucket hang resulting in smoother, cleaner dumping for the RPM II; fine tuning in conjunction with ESCO rigging provides optimized dump and recovery speeds and reduced cycle times
- Wear protection market leading S-Series Posilok tooth system and Toplok mechanical shrouds are a safer, more economical means of bucket protection
With a range from 20 to over 165 cubic yards, ESCO offers a comprehensive package tailored to customer applications.
The ESCO dragline bucket mission includes the following:
- Ship bucket when committed
- Fast fill and aggressive digging
- Meet weight targets
- Excellent recovery
- Hook-up with no surprises
- Easy maintenance
- Structural integrity
- Improve production
- Provide smoother dumping
- Reduce total cost of ownership with little carry back

Improvements to the RPM Include:
- New fabrication techniques for top rails and trunnions
- Improved casting design for better durability in top corner area
- Optional bottom corner design for improved strength and durability
- Optional straight lip configuration with S-Series Posilok tooth system
- Optional Liner Packages
Reverse Spade Lips (RSL)
Recognized by mines worldwide as a major innovation in dragline bucket productivity, the ESCO Reverse Spade Lip provides faster fill than conventional straight lips.
Advantages of the RSL Include:
- Concentrating the drag force on the corner teeth to improve penetration over conventional lips for faster fill
- Slim profile and shallow ramp angle further aids penetration
- Lip design helps channel material to the center, improving material flow
As the bucket engages the cut, the rear of bucket lifts slightly, pulling the center teeth out of the material. With the force concentrated on the corner teeth, there is less resistance and the bucket penetrates better. While the RSL is optimum for most applications, a straight lip option is available. |
