Cast Lip System
With equipment becoming ever more powerful, and in the face of increasingly demanding conditions, ESCO's new EverSharp cast lip system for mining applications is the answer. Cast in premium ESCO alloys, the EverSharp lip system is not only tremendously strong, but provides increased safety and excellent performance.
The Posilok® Plus tooth system, with its hammerless locking device, is standard and offers improved safety, reliability and penetration. The EverSharp lip bottom and shroud are moved up and out of the wear path to reduce wear and improve loading with a more efficient bucket curl. The results: reduced maintenance, improved fuel economy and better productivity.

Loadmaster® SSC Lip System
The ESCO Loadmaster SSC lip is cast in alloy 12T with excellent strength properties. This strength provides better toughness than plate lips and meets the needs of today's mining machines operating in severe applications.

ESCO excavator edges and lip segments are available in the following alloys:
- MaxTemp® Steel Plate Heat treated through-hardened steel gives maximum protection against impact breakage in the toughest digging conditions without sacrificing wear life.
- Special Application MaxTemp Steel Plate (SAM) SAM is a heat treated alloy specifically developed for heavy duty loader and excavator applications. Impact resistant, wear resistant, and easy to weld, SAM is uniquely suited to handle the punishment large production machines dish out. SAM is available for weld in straight, spade, and modified vee base edges.
Carbide Embedded Plate Significantly extends wear life in moderate impact conditions. This product is produced by embedding carbide particles into a heat-treated base metal, bonding the metals together forming a unified steel with greatly enhanced wear properties. All ESCO carbide embedded products are fully warranted to provide cost-effective service in factory recommended applications. Carbide embedded products should not be used where surfacing marring and etching of conventional steel blades is prevalent.
