Kwik-Lok II

Kwik-Lok II Wear Protection is a three piece system that is extremely versatile and protects high wear areas in a wide
variety of applications.

Kwik-Lok II Benefits:

  • Versatile sizing allows protection for hot spots or entire wear surfaces
  • One-piece lock allows quick and easy installation and removal
  • No large wear plates to handle, no arc splatter, or welding fumes to replace wear runners
  • Lightweight wear runners are easier and safer to handle
  • ESCO alloy 12S cast runners provide longer wear life
    and durability
  • Select size runners are available in ESCO alloy 35S for even longer wear life in low impact applications
  • Most Kwik-Lok II runners are reversible for extended life in applications with uneven wear
  • Easy to change runners allow wear protection maintenance to be done along with standard machine maintenance

Typical Kwik-Lok II applications include machine buckets, processing plants and haul truck beds. Kwik-Lok II wear protection is ideal for virtually any industrial wear situation. Examples include dozer arms, scraper bowl bottoms and log loading forks.

Kwik-Lok

The original Kwik-Lok wear protection is especially ideal for hot slag and underwater dredging. It is a semi-mechanical system that utilizes a weld-on stop block to hold the runner in place.
  • ESCO alloy 12S runners can last up to five times longer than
    plate steel
  • ESCO alloy 35S runners are available in select sizes for even longer wear life in low impact applications
  • Runners are ready to use as delivered – no material prep or
    special handling
  • Longer wear life and less maintenance increases machine uptime

Dualmet™ Wear Tiles

Dualmet wear tiles are a bimetallic wear component designed to withstand high impact and severe abrasion in the toughest operating conditions. Dualmet wear tiles can be bolted or welded in place and are available in standard sizes or custom sizes and shapes.

  • Chrome white iron wear surface for maximum abrasion resistance
  • Mild steel base for structural strength

Bimetallic Universal Wear Solutions

ESCO bimetallic bolt-on and custom wear plates combine a mild steel jacket with a 27% chrome ni-hard alloy core for extreme wear conditions. ESCO wear plates provide surface abrasion protection for a wide variety of applications on both flat and curved surfaces.

  • Ideal for severe wear areas in hoppers and conveyor chutes
  • Longer wear life and less maintenance
  • May be used on draglines, shovel dippers, face shovels, excavators, loaders, truck beds and dozer arms

ESCO chrome white iron castings have a minimum hardness of 700 BHN and are bonded to slotted, mild-steel backing plate. Standard welding tools and materials allow a quick, secure solution to problem wear areas. Recommended applications include: draglines, shovels, loaders, excavator buckets, conveyor chute liners, quarry and mining grizzly screens, and gyratory and jaw crusher liners.

  • Wear Bars: Wear bars can be used to form a mosaic of wear protection to counter highly abrasive applications. The backing plate's flexibility lets the bar to conform to slightly convex or concave applications.
  • Wear Buttons: Circular buttons provide maximum protection and minimize the effects of heavy impact.

    ESCOALLOY™ Plate

ESCO offers ESCOALLOY 400 and 500 quenched and tempered alloy plates to handle extreme wear, with optimum resistance to gouging abrasion under severe impact. ESCOALLOY plate has exceptional toughness, ductility, weldability and hardness over T1 type abrasion grades. ESCOALLOY plate can be sheared, plasma cut and welded using conventional methods.

    Typical Applications:
    • truck bed liners
    • crusher liners
    • bucket liners
    • conveyor liners
    • dozer blade liners
    • fabricated ripper shanks
    • chute liners

    Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate

ESCO Chromium Carbide Overlay wear protection is ideal for extreme abrasion and medium impact applications. ESCO overlay plate offers a minimum of 573 Brinell hardness.

Chromium Carbide products are the most cost-effective way to protect equipment in severe wear conditions.

    Typical Applications:
    • mining
    • dredging
    • construction
    • cement plants
    • coal preparation
    • conveyor systems

    Structural Steel Plate

ESCO also offers premium structural steel A514 – a low carbon alloy steel that is very formable and weldable. A514 is quenched and tempered with yield strength of 80,000 psi.

    Typical Applications:
    • storage tanks and bins
    • machinery construction
    • mining cars and equipment
    • bridge and building construction
    • tankers and barges

    Custom Wear Liners

ESCO fabricates custom liner packages to customer specifications, with a selection of package styles for various wear needs. The liner styles below are available for dragline buckets, truck boxes, dozers, wheel loaders, excavators and face shovels.

    • Tumble Bar style liners cause material to tumble instead of slide, which reduces wear during material discharge. Tumble bars are made from ESCOALLOY™ 400 or 500 premium wear plate in thicknesses of 1/2" to 1-1/4", depending upon application.
    • Flat / Formed liners made of premium grade ESCOALLOY 400 or 500 wear plate, or chromiumcarbide overlay plate. These are ideal for extreme abrasion and high impact applications.
    • Waffle Style liners are typically 40% lighter than solid plate liners, with minimal wear life change. Liners are generally 1/2" to 1-1/4" thick ESCOALLOY 400 or 500 plate and are designed for lighter weight in high abrasion impact applications.
